My name is Elizabeth Cook and I am a former math teacher and current full-time private tutor. I earned an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a Masters in Math Education from Georgia State.

If you would have asked me when I was 7 years old what I wanted to be when I grew up, this would be it.  I have always wanted to teach math and I have always loved working with kids.  I love math and yes, I was that kid that couldn’t wait to get home after school and start their math homework.  That was me.  And days when we didn’t have math homework (which is very rare for most students) I just didn’t know what to do with myself.

I taught high school for many years and tutored in most of my free time.  I’ve taught most high-school courses at some point including AP Calculus.  It is a great joy for me to be a part of students learning and enjoying math.  I love helping kids gain confidence in their mathematics ability and be able to excel in school.

Currently, I teach SAT & ACT classes and tutor privately in the Atlanta Area.  I have worked with many families throughout the years and with several siblings so I’ve been able to see them transition from different math classes and really see their knowledge and confidence grow.  I am happy to provide Referrals upon request from families that I’ve known and worked with for years.
